The first time I stepped into Antonio Laglia’s art studio I was enchanted. Imagine a huge dark room where lots of canvases lean on each wall, one against the other like books. All around you can also see lots of different objects and clothes on hangers as if you were in a theatre’s backstage. This place gives me incredible sensations : I am in the right place , with the right people. In the background you can always hear music, sometimes classical, more often Italian jazz. Right in the centre of the room there is a model. You set your easel, the lights, the colours on your palette and you start to paint. No cameras, no computers, it’s just like flying on no airplane but up in the sky with your own wings.
